Yes, it is legal, and no it will not get you high! This is a myth that extends from its origins and although it is clear to understand why, it couldn’t be further from the truth. The reality is that CBD comes from the Cannabis Sativa plant and a link between using cannabis and the addictive nature of the plant when taken in certain forms has been associated with CBD. Cannabis contains THC and that is the psychoactive compound that causes the high.
However, CBD does not contain this and does not cause the high and is not addictive, which makes it perfect for using as one of your natural supplements. There are more than 140 different compounds in the cannabis plant and only two are considered primary active ingredients - CBD and THC. The latter is the ingredient that causes psychoactive changes and that’s why cannabis is illegal. However, CBD is not psychoactive and can therefore be used legally.
